Pitch Writing Workshop -
* REQUIRED COURSE for the following Pitch Session with a Studio Exec The Pitch Workshop is held in the private Pitch Session chat room which is found within The Writers Channel site, once you've logged in. The Workshop is at 5:00PM Pacific time and will be about 3 hours a night, for 2 nights. A password for entry into the Pitch Session room will be emailed to you upon sign in, along with instructions for the Workshop.
If there is a need, a second section will be created. The Pitch Writing Workshop is truly a workshop. Together, with both Lesley Bracker and the class’s help, you write the best paragraph and logline for your screenplay so that you have the best one-minute pitch possible. This pitch will not only be the perfect paragraph for your query letters, but also the best oral pitch!! When you sign up for the course, you will be asked to submit a logline, and a short synopsis of your script. A concise, dramatic logline is imperative --- tips on how to write a great logline will be emailed to you upon sign-up. In class, Lesley will share your logline and dramatic points with the group. The class is a secure haven where everyone learns by teaching and aiding fellow writers. The course includes follow-up email, when needed. PITCH WORKSHOP FAQs The Pitch Workshop is mandatory for each new pitch. This is to insure that your pitch is as strong as it can be, and also so that you can most effectively communicate your story in this online atmosphere. Given that Online Pitching is a new arena for most (myself and our "Pitchees"), we want to make it as professional, and as close to pitching in person, as we can. This means, the Pitch Workshop is mandatory for each NEW pitch. Using the same pitch for each executive or agent? Only take the Workshop once. |
